Men’s UPGA Championship Information
Dates for the U.P. Championship Explained
The U.P. Championship is always held during the second week of August, but not necessarily the second FULL week.
Sunday is considered the first day of a week. Should August 1st fall on Sunday, then the first week is August 1-7 and the second week is 8-14. Since the host club has the option of starting the tournament on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, the tournament in this case would start on August 10th, 11th or 12th, the latest possible dates.
Should August 1st fall on Saturday, then August 1st is considered the entire first week of August. August 2nd (Sunday) begins the second week. With this scenario, the tournament would start on August 4th, 5th or 6th, the earliest possible dates.
Depending on the day of August 1st, the first week could be seven days, one day or any number between.
The 2027 Championship will start on August 10th, 11th or 12th, the latest dates.
The 2028 Championship will start on August 8th, 9th or 10th.
The 2029 Championship will start on August 7th, 8th or 9th.
