2018 UP Senior Tournament Completed
Marquette Golf Club hosted the 2018 Senior UP Championship on June 18-19 on their Heritage Course. Eighty-eight golfers participated in the eight flight tournament representing 19 UPGA member clubs. Scott Saari of Wawonowin Country Club was crowned medalist and Championship Flight Champion with a two-day score of 144.
Marc Gilmore, head PGA Professional at Marquette, was the tournament host and ran a very professional and well-organized event. The course was in excellent condition, thanks in large part to the superintendent and grounds crew which had to deal with lots of rain preceding the tournament. Many positive comments were shared and the UPGA looks forward to having Marquette host future tournaments.
The 2019 tournament is scheduled for North Shore Golf Club in Menominee.
