Wawonowin Cleared to Host UP Tournament

The storm damage to Wawonowin Country Club on April 13 was severe, but not severe enough to prevent it from hosting the 2017 UP Golf Championship. Although many trees were lost due to high winds, the course was spared damage to greens, tees, fairways and bunkers.
The tournament will proceed as scheduled, Wednesday through Saturday, August 9-12. Watch for tournament information that will be mailed to the respective member clubs in the very near future. A special thanks to Oak Crest Golf Club for their offer to help in the event that the damage was too great for Wawonowin to host this year.
